Maison Hermès featuring Analogia Project

20 March - 21 May 2013

An installation for the 2013 window display at Maison Hermès, Ginza, Tokyo. We were asked to design an Analogia installation following Hermès year theme, ‘chic le sport’. Inspired by Gilles Deleuze words about this sport we decided to evoke the different settings of a match: the changing room and the playground.

A site-specific installation made especially for the second edition Design Days Dubai will reference the origins of modern design.  Iconic design pieces - a Le Corbusier chaise longue, a Mackintosh chair and the Noguchi table - form the focal points of the performance that reflects on the importance of this period in contemporary design.

More than an exhibition, WABI SABI is a project, a search.

WABI SABI is a Japanese expression that is an aesthetic vision based on acceptance of the impermanence of things.

Difficult to translate, describes the beauty and harmony of objects, natural or artificial, imperfect but who embody the ideal of perfection.
